About Us

All About Us - Our Centre

The Willows School and Early Years Centre is a friendly, supportive Infant school and Children’s Centre.  We have built strong, trusting relationships with our families and wider community, where everyone is welcomed and valued.  We are a good school as confirmed by Ofsted and Milton Keynes council (July 2023).

We have an amazing nursery which is part of our school.  Highly qualified early years practitioners provide care and education for children from 2 years old in stimulating and well- resourced outdoor and indoor learning spaces.  We offer “Time for Twos” funded places for eligible families and places for Rising Three’s onwards.  All children are entitled to 15 hours and parents are able to pay for additional sessions and wrap around care.  We offer 30 hour places for eligible families and will continue to offer additional sessions for those who are not.

Our school currently has one reception class, three KS1 classes and a Foxes class. Our highly dedicated and experienced team work hard to ensure that every child reaches their full potential. We have high expectations and children achieve well in all areas of their learning, behaviour and social skills.  The reception class rooms are part of the wider foundation unit and children free flow with nursery during parts of the day.

Pebbles Children’s centre offers families with children from birth to five a friendly and welcoming place to enjoy stay and play, sensory play, messy play sessions and more.  Baby and family health drop-ins with the health visiting team, parent support and outreach sessions are all available too.  Take a look at their latest activity calendar to find out more.

Our school offers full wrap around sessions for all children which are enjoyed by all who attend.  After school clubs have included street dance, football, singing, Multi-Sports, Break dancing and cookery.  After school clubs change according to the children’s interests and requests.

The Willows Mission statement is for all children:

"To become honest, active citizens and lifelong learners in a global society"

Our vision statement is below:

"The Willows School and Early Years Centre is committed to creating challenging and creative experiences that encourage high expectations for success in an ever changing society, where we use our minds well and care about one another.  Our diversity is celebrated and differences respected as we strive to become better thinkers and independent learners."

Please see our Values of what we hope for every child. Achieve, Respect, Independance, Self-Belief and Kindness.

We promote British values by ensuring all pupils have a voice and are listened to. We have our own school council which our pupils vote for and they have an important role in our school.
